PERPIGNAN & CÔTE VERMEILLE

PERPIGNAN, NORTH CATALONIA

WITH THE PALACE OF THE KINGS OF MALLORCA

AND A BEAUTIFUL COASTAL ROAD

The Côte Vermeille is a beautiful stretch of coast between Collioure and the Spanish border at Cerberes and invites you to take a wonderful drive. In between there are always nice places to stay.

You should plan the whole day for this trip.

#2 Rooftop Cafe in Perpignan

GALLERIES

LAFAYETTE

From Les Halles de Vauban it is just a short walk along the River Basse to the Galeries Lafayette department store. It's worth going to the top here to get an overview of the city at a cafe.

#3 Road Trip

SIDE

VERMEILLE

This beautiful coast can be explored beautifully by car thanks to the well-developed road and passes places such as Port-Vendres and Banyuls-sur-Mer between Collioure and Cerbére.

#4 Look to Spain

CAP CERBERE

This cap marks the end point of the coastal road on the French side and reveals views far into Spain. From here it is only two kilometers to the border crossing.

#5 Tasting and dinner at the winery by the sea

LES CLOS DE PAULILLES

There are numerous recommended wineries in France, but this one is also beautifully located by the sea and has a wonderful restaurant area. You can then continue tasting the wines in the store and take them with you straight away.

#6 nice little place to look at

COULIOURE

This pretty place is usually completely overcrowded and is now very much geared towards tourist needs. But if you want to discover the charm of the past, then it might be worth taking a short detour on the way back, when most of the tourists have already returned home.
